Very nice, thanks!

Also, for those looking for alternatives, look into DriveImage XML. I did a small writeup on it and how to have it automatically make an image of your machine each day; retaining three for restore purposes. It's totally hands off.

That was actually from me. When I clicked the RSS Feed link to get to the forums it required me to change my secret question answer. I did, and until after posting, I didn't realize it had logged me in as someone else.

I don't know how it happened, but I reset the password and emailed the person letting them know.

Edit - the email to them bounced back. Evidently the address in their profile was invalid.

You're welcome. 😀

Also, check out the link in my signature to www.MissingBytes.net - it's a freeware site that I run. It started out mostly for family, friends, and coworkers, but has grown quite a bit.

Heh..will do - linked and saved! 🙂

Some kind of patch or something happened last night on the forums, MANY people reported posts showing up as somebody else. Couple hours later it seemed fixed.

I bought a new (to me) laptop and wanted to make sure I had a good backup before taking it on a trip. I searched, looked at downloadable stuff, ran out and bought Norton SystemWorks for the Ghost it includes, then ended up using backup built into XP.

I used to use ghost until i found my backups were not working..I used Trueimage for 3 yrs and works like a charm....

So is this version 7 a good stable imaging program for NTFS/FAT32 partitions.

Would you recommend this over Ghost 9?

Thanks for the heads up OP. I signed up with my yahoo email, got no email. Tried again with MSN, email in 2 minutes. Then, you click a link to get a 2nd email. That came right away with a serial number. Had to try the download now link 5 times before it dind't say "unable to connect". Downloading now.... at 3kb/sec. Free is free, just a heads up that they don't like yahoo mail and expect a slow DL.

Edit: Quit the download, tried again and it's going at 330k and falling, but still a lot better than 3k/sec!
