I just powered up my new build on a foxconn mobo and installed a SB AUdigy 2 my dad gave me like 5 years ago. I installed all the drivers etc... now I get popping and crackling on some audio, somtimes I get no audio, and sometimes it works fine (till the screen changes?)
The interference seems to by cyclical... pop scratch scratch pop scratch scratch...like a good polka. That, and now the line out doesnt seem to work on the mobo so I cant even set that as my default audio out.
One post on the internet said "hey, switch from ACPI to standard PC and the world is your oyster". The topic doesnt seem to have been discussed since 2002 but someone else said "if you go from ACPI to standard doom and gloom"
Im lost, please help.
Thanks!
