Hi
I just put together a new system and am having troubles with my sound card. The computer got up and running fine, the sound worked and everything. The problem is after I shut the computer down and turn it back on later, it freezes during Windows startup. I narrowed it down to the Acoustic Edge after going thru safe mode and taking out drivers one at a time.
I've tried Windows 2000, ME, 98, and 98SE, with the packaged drivers as well as the latest drivers from the Philips pcsound.philips.com site. My onboard sound is also disabled.
My specs are:
AMD Athlon 1Ghz 266
Epox 8k7A mobo
256MB PC2100 DDR from Crucial
Radeon 64MB DDR vivo
IBM 20GB hdd
Enermax 350w power supply
Linksys 10/100 NIC
Sony 8x4x32x cd-rw
As long as I reinstall the Acoustic Edge drivers every time I turn on the computer, it seems to work ok, but I'd rather not do that.
If anyone has any suggestions or advice I would appreciate it.
Thanks
