Acoustic Edge causing crashes in XP

I got WinXP RC2, and the acoustic edge sound card seems to cause it to crash nonstop. The file Tbirdhd.sys always causes it. Is there a workaround, cause I'm pretty sure some people have the Acoustic Edge and XP.
