I use an foaming face wash and an oil free astringent. Kinda burns but you get used to it. Start out at once a day, then move to twice. If the acne still doesn't go away you could try 3 times a day. Once your face clears up don't stop, it'll come back.

You do know that diet doesn't affect acne right?

Anyway, any oil free face wash should be okay. Looks like you don't have a very serious case.

diet and such, as it has been said, has nothing to do with acne, trust me ;)

The only sure way is to tough it and grow older.

I had mean acne when I was younger. Used retin-a from a dr. persecription.
Helped a little...not much. But now I have baby smooth skin :)

wrong - my 7th grade teacher who was 45 at the time, was telling us she's always getting pimples now while she was one of those lucky ppl who never got any when she was a teen.

I use the following:

1. Proactiv treatment thingy (Proactiv)
2. Differin perscription topical (at night)
3. Cephalexin pills (perscription...1 twice a day or once a day...depends)

I got the perscriptions from my dermatologist.

This regimen keeps my acne in check VERY well! My sister had terrible acne so we're gettin' mine right away so I don't have to go through what she did. :(

Go to your dermatologist and see what he/she says. :)

U know what rapes acne so fast that it doesnt have a chance to get all red and large? Accutane, no acne can stand up to it.

I'd discourage popping.

Some pimples that stay for a really long time can cause scars and popping them too soon may also cause scars...

Ughh, its a crap shoot. I'd let them be and just use a strong perscription. Been working for the most part for me.

jmcoreymv, accutane should only be used as a last resort. My sister had to do one 6 month cycle, then three or 4 months later she got bad again and had another 6 month cycle of it. Its not a friendly medicine and the potential side affects aren't either...however, those potential side affects have been "proven" wrong in the last 2-3 years (thats when my sister took it...2-3 years ago...)...

Grow long fingernails and then dig :| the entire thing out ,then wait about two weeks for face to heal.Don't wait any longer than you have to.Two weeks of ugliness is better than two or more months of ugliness if those zits are those stubborn ones! :disgust:

Go to the doctor and ask for Minocycline. It is a step below Accutane, and what you are talking about is not bad enough for Accutane anyway. It does not have the side effects. And whatever you do, do not pop them, you will end up scarred.

Accutane for you is like trying to kill a mosquito with a cannon, it may be overdueing it, but it sure as hell is gonna get the job done!

ive taken lots from my dermatologist,
like all the pills and retin A, Diffren gel, and everything they sell over the counter.
nothing really helps.
BUT, 2 summers ago, i went to India, and the water their is rich in minerals, (not dirty water) and my face cleared up for the 2months i was there. then i got back here in the US, and i burst out. They put stuff in the water here, and its not as mineraly as other places. Mabey its the flouride or somthing in the water?

also, DOES PROACTIVE really work? that stuff on TV??
