Screen shot of error

This error has been happening with almost anything i start up these days. At first i thought it was CS but then it also started doing it when I opened up ChessMaster7000 and some other programs like Adobe Photoshop and GoLive. Anyways, I'm gonna go search technet now for a solution, but wondering if any of you later night owls would know what's going on here?

TIA

yeah that's what i was thinking before.... i have crucial pc133 cas2 256MB stick and i think i have a generic. but why would it all of a sudden be bad ram? I've had this system since back in march or so. win2k 512MB PC133 duron 750. nothing is overclocked and I haven't seen this before.

also another thing that's been happening in CS alot is that it'll get stuck. my pings are always <100 but it'll get stuck on one frame and replay the damn sound over and over. sometimes it'll unstick but most of the time it just locks the entire computer. could it be a vid card problem? it's a geforce2 GTS 32MB from visiontek. i have all the latest bios and drivers for everything. strange thing is this never happened before.

i don't think i have a virus. actually i'm pretty damn sure i don't. NAV running with all current updates (auto) since i built this thing. i checked MS website and seems it may be the service pack. i'm gonna install SP2 next. hopefully that'll clear it up. damn damn damn! and this thing was rock solid since march! oh well... can't win them all. i guess this is better than it used to be with win98. god i wish I could find my 3.11 disks :)

very possible bad memory.. I had a generic stick of 128MB and 2 other higher quality 128MB sticks.. I for a long time saw these unusual errors occur in randomvery much likethe one you showed.. finally got pissed off and took out that one generic stick.. it has been stable ever since.

If that dont work.. reinstall.

but would it just happen to start doing this 6 months after i started using it? just finished installing SP2. will see if that takes care of it as per technet.com's suggestions.

[edit]
damn1 just happened again! ok, i'm gonna just order some more RAM. wanted to add more ram to the systems that i have anyways. crucial here i come! :) i think another 512MB (2x256) should be enough. i really hope it's that one generic stick. thanks for all the input
