I suppose it was bound to happen sooner or later. I have a full tower chieftec. Not the 4 5-1/4" bay one but the big 6 5-1/4" bay beastie. It makes a great table...
Anyways I was putting my yummy swiss miss hot cocoa down reaching over my chair and misstepped, got it all over my hand and was spilling down the front of the case.
Grabbed a towel and dried off what hadn't penetrated already.
It got into the cd-rw a little bit and on the top of everything else. :/
Had to take off the front panels and clean it all off with a towel and cotton swabs, pulled out the cd-rw and dvd and cleaned what got inside the cd-rw as best as I could.
Had to wash the covers for the drive bay coolers too.
Cleaned it all up, put it together (except the drive bay cooler covers which are still drying) and booted it up. The cd-rw gave me a scare when the door closed and wouldn't reopen. I powered down and it started opening and closing again.
Got into windows and tested the cd-rw and dvd, all looks good. Phew!
So the morale of the story is, a full tower is not a table for liquids!
