WTF?
I rip my first ~50 CDs just fine
I've got about 6 left to rip, i put in the next one, tracks 1 through 13 are fine, then on 14, I get an ASPI error
30 seconds later my computer locks up.

Hrmm..
So I switch CD Roms, and try again just track 14.
ASPI error, 30 seconds, lockup.

What the heck?

I'm using AudioGrabber v1.7 (with lame encoder, not that it gets that far), first try was a Yamaha 8x8x24 IDE CDRW, second is a Pioneer 10x/40x DVD/CD Rom.

I've ripped at least 50 CDs in the last week just fine...
why this one track mess up? Any ideas?

Have you done any other discs since this one? Have you updated your firmware for the burner? Have you updated or reinstalled you ASPI drivers?

I went through a few problems with my Yamaha and part of it was I needed the firmware update.

You might want to investigate in updating your ASPI layer if that may help you. ForceASPI seems to be the program to get available from www.elaboratebytes.com in "more cdr software" on the left.

Does the CD have an extra bonus data track on it by chance?

If so, you might notice the time of the last track is inflated beyond all hell. Just listen to it, note where the song actually ends, and set the 'end' position at that point.

Hrmm do you think a very scratched up CD could cause an ASPI error on the last track?
Because this CD is in pretty rough shape (just looked at it)
