I ate bob sykes bbq for lunch today...IMO it was awful....whats everyones favorite bbq chain?

Damn, I KNEW you had to be from Bama just from seeing that name. Freaked me out at first. Yeah, Bob Sykes is hit or miss. I prefer Paul's(non-chain) or Golden Rule.

This place oustide of Austin, The Salt Lick, has some pretty good barbecue.

WE have Sonny's Real Pit Barbeque, and a local chain called Smitty's BBQ (each of the restaurants looks like a country shack on the outside, and have a military plane theme on the interior). That's it 😉

yeah i have had sonnys...i like it..but im not sure where one is....the best i have ever had is from a place in tuscaloosa, AL called Archibald's....it in a little bitty shack but man its wonderful.....much better than dreamland....just get there early on gameday

Gah, I hate Auburn on gameday...noway I'm going anywhere near Tuscaloosa on a football Saturday.

Bob Sykes is also my 2nd cousins' name and he was a left-handed pitcher for the Stl Cardinals back in the early 80's.. 🙂 small world. He doesn't have any BBQ places tho..

I agree....we had to usually order archibalds early in the morning then go pick it up.....I always parked at my friends apt. next to the stadium to get around on gameday...it is crazy...hard to believe how many people
