When I was about to fix my cable connection (link), I saw a black cat (it had tags, so it wasnt a stray) standing there staring at me through the screen door. I was freaked out (read: sissssy) and stood there staring back at it, knowing it wouldnt get thorugh the door.

But when I thought it was gone, I opened the door to get to the cable wires and the cat slid between my legs into my house. It went all the way into the living room before I mustered the courage to pick it up and put it back outside. It was a nice cat tho, so I sat outside and petted it and looked at the tags and saw that it belonged to my next door neighbor. coupla minutes later, I saw the kid walking up and the cat ran to him and he told me it was theirs.

whew, my heart was pounding. I thought I was gonna get 0wn3d, especially since Halloween is tomorrow

lol.. You think thats scary try waking up to find 4 neighborhood cats all fighting over you cats food in YOUR kitchen. It happened to me last summer when I forgot to close my back door one night before I went to bed.. I woke up to growling and hissing like I'd never heard before.. Not to mention the nice
"presents" the damn animals left for me. :(

i dunno about that but I half-expected the cat to look innocent from a distance and the instant I got near it, it would scratch out my eyeballs and rip out my intestines.

Meh, we've had a black cat living here for the past 12 years. Raised her from just a few weeks old when her mom died.

I wanna get a cat now. It was pretty cool. they require less maintenance than dogs, rite?

Pretty much, just general vet trips every few months. Half time I don't even know where my cat is. Always hanging out somwhere in the house.

Yes and no. They do not need to be walked like dogs do, but they do need attention and proper care. Litterbox duty is not fun, but tons safer than letting the cat out to use the bathroom.

i dunno, maybe I can train it like DeNiro did in Meet the Parents. It will use the toilet and may possibly have better aim than me

actually, heres a question I always wondered. Do cats know that what the litterbox is for or does one need to train them first?

It's possible to train them, but time consuming.

You'll need to show them where it is, but cats naturally tend to go to them. I raised kittens once, and never had to lift a finger to litter train them. They just started using the box I put there, no accidents. :)

The exception to the rule will be urinary tract infections. Inappropriate elimination is a key sign of illness such as a uti. Some cats will get behavioral problems and not use the litterbox. Declawed kitties will do this, for example. Spay or neuter your cat to prevent adding to the surplus of unwanted kittens, and it will also stop them from spraying.

sorta. you suck. lol. afriad of a cat, that has TAGS! hahahaha
The only psycho cat i know of is my black one and the cat that lives behind me, it rubs against you, all nice and everything, you pet it, it backs away and hisses. stupid cat. :D

When we got our youngest kitty he was trapped in our garage and shot through the cat door and in the process of trying to catch the ltitle guy he ran into the sliding glass door (one eye was sealed shut by saliva that had dried from earlier when the big ass dog that dosent live across the street anymore was playing with him :(), went in the fireplace and hid, and found himself in a magazine folder organizer thing. Woulda fit on your palm, fatass cat now :). Gus. .He was scared of EVERYTHING the first few months, still is really somewhat but thats a different story.

Cats like to crap in the dirt. If you have a box of dirt in your house, then the cat may jsut crap in the box of dirt isntead of the litterbox. However, if you've jsut got the litterbox, the cat will use it. Our cat has never once had an accident in our house (she's about 6 months old, we got her when she was two months old). She's always been good about using the litterbox, and no, you don't need to train them. They will just go to the bathroom somewhere where they can bury it. Typically, the only place indoors that's good for that is the litterbox.

that seemed to be the only reason that my mom didnt get a dog, because it wouldve crapped all over the house. i know cats can take better care of themselves tho
