Hey all, thanks for helping me out!

Here are my problems

(1) My father's laptop seems to have contracted the backdoor.coreflood virus. What exactly does this virus do, and how do I stop it?
(2) I just ordered a new mobo and vid card for my brother. I put them in his computer, and everything seems to boot up fine, except for that the monitor gets no feed. It idles after a few seconds. I tried a new vid card, but it does the same thing. Is there any way that the PCI and AGP slots aren't activated? Everything else (hsf, ethernet lights) seems to work, but I can't get figure this out.
(3) Any suggestions for a new VGA fan? My TI4600's fan is starting to buzz.

(2) Do you get a "beep" when you power on the computer, or is it just silent except for the fans? Do you hear the hard drive running/ticking? Perhaps a memory module or CPU is loose, or one of the compnents is fubar.
 
I just built a new computer for my gf and i'm having the same problem. It seems to run fine, but no feed from monitor. Let me know if you figure this one out man!
