Unless you have experience with grilling, why not just buy a cheap menards grill, then after a few years, once you've killed it, buy whatever doesnt have the shortcomings that annoyed you with the cheap grill?

I like Weber grills or Kenmore. Just make sure you get a cover if it is going to stay outside for all four seasons.

I hope you know that since you bought the house that once you purchase the grill she is going to want an outdoor living space. Maybe your new home already has one maybe it doesn't but rest assured once you purchase that grill your outdoor living space will need updating.

Here's how I know. I bought a $200 grill and sat it in the grass. Then we installed a 270 sq.ft. brick patio to put it on and a sliding patio door replace the window you see in the pic. To her credit she did help but that $200 grill cost us around $3000 in the end. Just something to think about before you buy that new grill.:)

If you "like" BBQ once you have a decent grill you will use several times a week weather and where you put it permitting. At some point natural gas beats propane tanks.

I too am moving into a house with my girlfriend, in June. We entertain a lot and I need a lot of cooking space. I am buying a Yoder YS640 - http://www.yodersmokers.com/ys640-pellet-grill.html

So my fiancee and I have been in our house since the end of June, and I've made a ton of food on my Yoder YS640, ranging from cold-smoked bufala mozzarella to grilled corn to legs of lamb, chickens and beef tenderloin. I have cooked for as many as 25 people at once, and will be using it to cook for a groom's dinner for about 50 people in a few weeks. The thing is amazing.

I actually just bought my dad a YS640 for his upcoming birthday, meaning that I have spent more than $4,000 on Yoder grills in three months - ack!
