i always felt like i was losing some of the hydro too everytime i did cwe, i would filter with a coffee filter and end up with a blueish clear liquid (from the blue lortab 10/500's) i was just a fiend and felt like i was surely losing SOME of the hydrocodone that wouldn't get dissolved...kind of like if you've ever done oxy or morph IV, you could get a second shot out of the "bones" that were left in the spoon.. so obviously it wasn't all getting dissolved...

I'm sure you lose a little, but losing 1mg of hydrocodone vs. needing a liver transplant is a small price to pay I would think. ;)

What's the average dose people take?

I take 1 500mg tylenol or 2 325mg tylenol every 4-6 hours or 1 200mg Ibuprofen for pain.

In movies and tv shows I always see people dump a random handful into their mouths - maybe that's where idiots are getting fucked up.

It's nice that 200mg of ibuprofen does something for you, if I'm at a point where taking something feels necessary, it's 800mg or there's no point.
Tylenol does nothing for me.

If it is bad enough for me to take something, 1 tablet (200mg) of ibuprofen does nothing for me. It's 400mg (2 tablets), and that's enough.

I take some kind of OTC pain pill before I go running now. I've got mild asthma and it seems to help.

Being naked is a part of life :)

True... I just think people expect too much out of life. Feeling down? take a pill. Back hurts a little? take this. A little pudgy? try these pills...

You have obviously never had to sleep in your living room because your back went out and you couldn't move. Trust me, there is a world of difference between, "oh, my back's a little stiff", and, "holy sh*t, I can't move!"

ZV

I know exactly what it's like. The last time my back went out at work, I had to crawl to my Jeep on my hands and knees. I finally got myself inside, but my partner had to lift my left leg and put it in the Jeep for me.

I blew my back out at work back in 98 I think. It took over a year to be able to walk normally, and over 4 years before I didn't have to finish every day on my back hugging my knees. I still have problems every so often as indicated by my last event, but usually it's just a dull throb from being on my feet too long.

A lot of the liver damage with acetaminophen is from people that mix it with alcohol.

I knew a guy who was quite young (early 30s) who died from this. He was an idiot but left 3 kids and a widow who is an insufficient mother :(

What the heck is an "insufficient mother"?

Why do people keep saying Ibuprofen FTW? It also has Acetaminophen.

I went to the doctor for extreme chest pain, and they couldn't figure it out. Then they printed off something from WebMD, handed it to me like it was solved. Then they told me to take 4+ ibuprofen whenever. Bastards were trying to kill me!

People pop pills and don't read labels. I don't blame the companies or the FDA....I like tylenol and sometimes take it with Ibuprofen or Aspirin when I have a bad headache or muscle pain with inflamation.

I believe the cough syrup and nyquil-type medicines shouldn't contain any because people don't always measure those properly. It seems to be those are the products that negatively affect people the most.

Ibuprofen and acetaminophen are different drugs. 4 x 200MG of ibuprofen is a normal prescription strength dose.

You've obviously never been in the military, 800mg of ibuprofen three times a day is a standard prescription.
