This is my last resort before I RMA this card ( and take a $60 lost)

I got the card in my sig with the other parts for my new rig I had the acer from my old setup. Well I install the OS (Vista) and everything is ok. Then its time for the video card i d/led the latest drivers from ATI and off I go on the ride from hell. I reboot and nothing the little green progress bar and then black screen I reboot and try to go into 640x480 no go. After 4hr of trail and a whole lotta error I get it to boot in windows at 1680x1050 @60hz well i test it with vantage an everything seems ok. I saw something in the ATI control panel about 75hz refresh but i didnt think it would cause an issue but when turned the pc back on back to black... so if anyone have an idea how set the refresh rate in safe mode ( CCP doesnt work in safe mode) I would love to hear it

Well i found out what it was. the DVI connector wasnt seating all the way due to the top of the slot i had to push the card down a little and bam it seated and now after powering down the pc a couple of times it works so alls good

use punctuation

and what "acer" are you talking about

acer makes monitors and computers. ATI makes video cards. they're not in the same product market together.

Well I am sorry that you could not understand my post. However I have already fixed the issue. Acer x221w is a monitor this I know I was trying to make a joke out of my issue I am also aware that ATI makes video cards and the last time I checked you still need a video card to create the image and a monitor to view said images.
