Acer 4000 series notebook are really good . I suggest you get the 15.4" version its model number would be 4000wlci
 
my friend just got an Acer (i'm thinking it's the one JeFTux mentioned but with 1gig ram). It seems like a nice unit, but I got my sights on apple.
