Acer Timeline AS4810 experiences.

I'm thinking of picking up one of these puppies, specifically the AS4810T-8480 model. It is for basic travel use (web browsing, light bushiness and watching movies). Specifically, will the Core 2 Solo 1.4 Ghz be able to run compressed HD movies (mkv etc.) smoothly?
 
The Intel 4500MHD has HD decoding I believe, though I couldn't find any reliable reviews or benchmarks of that capability. I did play with an Asus laptop the other day that used the SU3500, and Vista seemed fairly smooth though I only played for 5 minutes or so.

I ended up ordering a Studio 14z earlier today, which has the 9400M and a T6500 C2D. Worse battery life than the Timelines and slightly heavier, but still a decent machine by all accounts.
