If you are interested on making a purchase on frys.com do not overthink it for often when frys does a sale they sell out by day 1 or 2 of the sale (friday or saturday) even though the sale last 7 days (thursday)

Put an ssd in there instead of the dvd and it will be blazing. That or buy an adapter to use instead of the dvd drive and place the ssd instead of the optical drive.

Damn - there are some really good deal out there on laptops. I'm not sure how the $800+ ultrabooks can compete. Sure they are faster and lighter, but something like this is probably fast and light neough for most people.

Agreed this processor i3 2370m processor has a passmark score of 3017
The ivybridge ulv i5 3317u has virtually the same score at 3062

They achieve almost the same score because ulv have lower clock speeds turbo boost helps alievates this but it can only do so much.

So if you do not need the Intel 4000 graphics, can deal with a .95 inch tall laptop instead of a .75 inch laptop and 4 lbs instead of 3 lbs, you can save about 300 adding your own ssd to this laptop.

And since they put a huge battery in there this laptop gets 7 hours of battery
