TFTCentral reveiw is up. http://www.tftcentral.co.uk/reviews/acer_predator_z271.htm

Seems like a pretty slick monitor. Hits almost everything I'm actually looking for. If it was 1440p I would be buying it right now. 1080p at that size though is rough, so this would be nothing more than a temporary monitor. Is no ULMB a big problem? I thought that didn't work with GSYNC. They also say it's not as fast as other panels for gaming but it's still sub 7ms total response time. I'm an old fart now so I think that's more than adequate for anything I'll play.

They don't work together that's true. You've had to turn one off to activate the other.

People have said that all gsync modules support ULMB which now appears to be false as this model doesn't support it. Very odd. Maybe because its VA? Not sure.

I think because it's a VA. The best part about the review I found was that they said this is the first VA which actually has a fast enough response time to take advantage of 144hz refresh rate.

It's not 1440p because such a panel doesn't exist. This monitor is for those who want VA tech in all its glory. I personally would take this anytime anyday over a 1440p 144hz IPS even if you remove the variable of performance.

If only there was a free sync version the price would have been so much better.

Apparently the handful of user reviews that we have are all talking about backlight bleed.

I saw a video of the backlight bleed on the Lenovo Y27G and it was quite bad. It's quite unacceptable with a VA monitor as black uniformity has been it's major selling point. Does the high refresh rate have any technical relation with higher BLB? Since we are only seeing this problem in the two 144hz VA monitors we have so far.
