i want to buy a notebook below U$1600 and what i've in mind now is acer travelmate800.
anyone have some experience 'bout acer? or any other suggestion for me?
what i need is a long battery lifetime and speed.
btw, travelmate800 doesn't support hyper threading?
 
No Centrino based laptops supports hyperthreading. I haven't had much experience with them yet because hardly any of them that we sold have broke. I worked on my first TM800 today, but all it was a stuck lid switch, pressed on it to get it unstuck and it was fixed. I think one of my other techs has had to replace a harddrive and couple of keyboards, but that it standard stuff with any laptop.
