I've had this monitor for a couple of days now and here are my initial observations.

For starters, my usual monitor is a BenQ 1440p 60Hz 32” VA panel. I’d been looking for a 1440p 144Hz 27" IPS monitor to replace it and I pre-ordered this one a few weeks ago. As expected, the colors on the IPS panel are a little nicer than the VA panel and everything looks really sharp. Nvidia G-Sync appears to be perfectly compatible with the monitor’s FreeSync but I haven’t tested the entire 144Hz range yet. Gaming looks great and I haven’t noticed any ghosting but I’m also not very sensitive to it. The monitor has 3 overdrive settings but the off and normal settings seem exactly the same. The extreme setting works but it adds a lot of overshoot. There are 3 VRB blur reduction settings. Off, Normal, and Extreme. None of them seem to affect blur and FreeSync gets disabled when they are enabled.

Here are some blur buster shots taken with my phone. It looks like there is strobe cross talk which might indicate there is some blur reduction going on.

Here is a shot with overdrive set to extreme. Lots of overshoot here.

For Comparison, here is a shot from my 60Hz VA panel. You can see the typical VA black smear in the top lane. There is more ghosting but the image is cleaner.

The Backlight bleed is rather disappointing and is most noticeable in the lower corners.

Other thoughts: I’ve noticed vertical line artifacts flashing on the screen 4 different times. I’ve never seen these on my other monitor which uses the same GPU and DP cable. Overall, the monitor is really nice but I’ll probably be sending it back because of the vertical line flashes.

When you say backlight bleed I assume you mean IPS glow. What you're seeing is expected in this type of monitor.

I don't think it's glow, which it has, but it isn't bad. The lower corners are always brighter and the further away I get, the easier it is to see. Someone else posted this video of the same screen and the corners look similar to mine. I wouldn't say it's super bad but it might bother some people.

I bought the same monitor, about the excessive brightness on the 4 edges, it is normal, all IPS monitors do so, lowers the brightness a little and accustomed, you notice little with time.

Hi guys,

I have this monitor as well and I am a bit confused. It's new and there are not many reviews about it.

What are the best settings to have it fast and smooth? This Over drive settings and also the VRB. How should I have them? I have done some testing and having them all of looks the best. Now on the website it says IPS 1MS when you enable the VRB. To me when I enable this settings it kind of makes things look bad. For example when I have it on, then go in a game where I look at a tree then move left or right, the tree becomes dodgy and my eyes feel so bad.

If all those things are disabled, what MS do we have? Is it 4 MS or more than that?

Thanks a lot.
