sorry, I have some reactions I can't control.
I'm typing this post on my Acer Travelmate 3200. Why, then, do I cringe when someone mentions them? Customer service. This company has the WORST customer service imagineable - AND THEY HAVENT EVEN OUTSOURCED TO INDIA YET!
my experience may be unique, but I have had nothing but problems with this laptop (in fact im currently using a 10g OLD laptop hard drive as I'm in europe and need to wait until I get home to RMA the damn thing.
I got the 3 year extended all inclusive warranty with this, and thank god I did, because since I got it the HDD has gone twice, the mouspad has ceased functioning 3 seperate times, I've had to reformat (or have it done for me at their RMA place) at least 6 or 7 times, etc. etc. And through it all I was made to feel like a cheater and a theif from their tech. support people. They never honor their shipping guarentee unless you can do fedex pick ups (which wasnt possible at my college). And their damn rubber feet keep falling off.
OH! And from one repair I got the laptop back and it had been dropped, and had broken casing. Through all of these troubles I NEVER recieved an "im sorry" or a discount, an upgrade, or anything!
This company is big in europe, and maybe the cust. service is better here, but I just can't reccomend them, even though their systems seem tempting sometimes.
