Question Acer laptop no sound

I have a Acer aspire 5 laptop. It's about 1.5years old now. Win10, all updates was performed.

Never had any issues but now the laptop speakers don't work. it has the normal "realtek" audio drivers, all have been updated. I've gone into service manager to disable and enable the drivers.

When I plug in a HDMI device and switch audio to the TV, everything works as it should. When I switch back, no audio.

I've done the same via Bluetooth. Bluetooth audio works.

When I plug in my headphones via headphones jack, it recongizes I plug something in but that's it. No audio. I believe this is driver issue and not a hardware issue. But I'm not as to what to do.

There's a bug in the newest Windows 10 with the Conexant audio driver. I think that those are sometimes found on laptops.

Or possibly you just need to install a more-specific audio driver from your laptop mfg than the generic Windows 10 driver that it installed.
