Which tab is better?
Acer Iconia tab A210 10.1 16GB Tegra 3 quad core (Best buy price$245)
OR
Samsung Galaxy tab 2 10.1 16GB Tegra 2 dual core (Best buy price$299)

It will be for my kids, mostly for games.

I bought 2 Acer tab for my kids from Best buy 2 days ago and according to your useful websites' information, the performance and the price of Acer Iconia tab are better!

The Galaxy Tab 2 is actually an OMAP4 device, not Tegra 2. The Galaxy Tab 10.1, first gen, was Tegra 2.

At the prices you listed, I think you'd be better off ordering the 16GB Nexus 7 from the Play Store for 199 though.

Nexus 7 is too small for my kids to play games!

I have the Iconia Tegra 2 and it is a damn nice tablet with full size usb, micro usb, hdmi and micro sd so I imagine the newer version is even better

Poofyhairguy said about all that needed to be said though... You are definitely going to want the Acer with the quad core Tegra 3.

Though I'm not sure why the Nexus 7 would be too small for children. Children are smaller creatures normally. And I don't even liking holding a 10 inch tablet while gaming, especially when you get into those racing games.

But I'd go with the Acer if you need the 10 inch screen. Might even look into the Acer TF300 if you can find one of those at a good price.

This one does not has HDMI outlet but it's not so important!
The important thing for my kids (that this tab lacks) is the rear camera.

I found Samsung Galaxy 2 7.0 8GB on sale at Best buy ($179.99) and I didn't buy it because of it's small size.

I was torn between these two larger tablets and opted for the GT 2. Very nice, quick enough for me, and refurbs can be had for about $250.

And it is slow and clunky as hell. If I didn't get mine for free I would have put it in the microwave.

I'm curious what games your kids are playing? Nearly every game I've played is actually better on my N7 vs my larger TF700. Its easier to hold, lighter to hold for longer periods. 10in tabs get heavy pretty quickly.

I know Tegra 3 is better, but my question was which tab is better for my kids?

Tegra 2s GPU is underpowered for tablet resolutions. OMAP is a little better but Tegra 3 is much better.

So basically get something with a Tegra 3 so games play smoother. Sorry I didn't say that last time. I am usually too wordy on here.

THank you for your reply, my kids play all games available! They liked the bigger 10in tablet more than the 7in tablet. I will ask them again if they will prefer a smaller tablet. I already bought 2 Acer tabs for my kids from Best buy 2 days ago and I can return them within 15 days from the date of purchase if I didn't satisfy with them.
My kids are 9 and 8 year old.

Should also be noted that going with a Tegra based part also gets you easy access to Nvidia's Tegra HD store, Tegra Zone, I think its called.
