Hey,

I want to buy a new monitor for gaming (BF3). I am going to upgrade to a 6950 CF really soon and I am just curious for which monitor i should go.

I narrowed it down to the following:
Acer GD245HQbid @ 320 euro

and

Asus VG236HE @ 260 euro

Both are 120hz 1080p.

Please help me out. I can't seem to find a review where they get compared.. although they have the same specs.

Thanks in advance.

I had the Acer for about a month. I eventually returned it because of the poor viewing angles and bad blacklight bleed. 120Hz was great even without 3D but the viewing angles and blacklight bleed killed it for me.

Thanks for your feedback.

What about the LG W2363D? I have heard that one is also great.. it's in the same price range.. in a few reviews I read that there is no lag input..

Thanks, I allmost bought the Asus. But I found out the LG has no input lag! Should I go for the LG?? I wanted to buy it for gaming. Such as battlefield 3.

It's the LG W2363D, and they are exactly the same price.

Thanks! Last thing I am worried about.. i am playing on 1680x1050 at the moment. If I would upgrade to a 1080p monitor my FPS would drop with atleast 10 fps, right?

Is the 120hz, with no input lag worth it? Especially with BF3 on the way.. where we are going to need any fps we can get?

With a single HD 6950 you should be able to play all the games including BF3 on 1080p medium-high settings.

Thanks for your reply, but that wasn't my question..:'(
Is it worth it? -10 FPS for the 120HZ, no lag input?
