Well, considering it can also transcode 720p via PS3 Media Server, I was pretty happy with it.

I've been running the H340 for about a year I think. It's a good little machine - very small and quiet. The space for FOUR drives makes it much better (IMO) than the Asus and other small models.

I've had no issues so far but it does run warm with the standard cooling. The CPU generally stays at 65C-70C and the drives (I have 4x1TB green-types) hover between 40C and 45C. I don't mind the Atom CPU at that temp but the drives are little warmer than I'd prefer (I'd like to see 35-40C).

Overall this is a great machine for $300.

I also have one and love it. Mine is populated by the stock drive plus two 1.5TB Seagate 7200.11's and a 2TB WD Green. I agree it runs a bit worm but otherwise love it.

I've had one for over 6 months and really like it and Windows Home Server too. WHS's non-RAID multi-drive management is very slick. If the drive temps worry you -- they did me -- there are some simple things you can do to increase air flow. (Check out the forum at We Got Served on the H340.)

Some things to note:
- I don't think it supports the newest version of WHS, Vail.
- Remember this is a headless unit, and it's not trivial to get VGA output.
- Acer support is poor (but you probably won't need it).
- WHS doesn't play well with OpenDNS.
- You'll probably want to remove the trial version McAfee AV that comes installed.

If you the cpu to be too warm, you can reverse the fan into an intake, and that'll cool it down quite a bit. Usually 10C~ cooler.
