I have 7 Acer TravelMate B113-M laptops that I want to add an asset tag to the BIOS field provided for that purpose. The only reference I can find on how to do this is in the service manual for the laptop which references a utility called dmitool. So far so good as Dell and Lenovo both use similar type solutions to add this information to BIOS's on their machines whereas HP lets you enter it directly. Personally having tried to find software or information for Acer products before I would never buy anything from them but I am stuck with these 7 to support and I have searched high and low trying to find this utility on their website or anywhere else with no success. Just taking a shot that maybe someone here may have come across a place where I can download this? Thanks in advance.

Nope but I have to say I generally ignore hits on Russian pages when I do searches at work. I downloaded some from the your link and scanned them for viruses and will test the one that looks promising on Monday on a network disabled machine. Thanks for the link.

If it's an American Megatrends BIOS, I can probably assist. This is the only one I've had to do manually, and you can change UUID using AMIDEDOS.exe inside a DOS bootable flash drive.
