I've read that the extra RAM helps out if you use a lot of tabs and if you use Chromecast. I'm curious to see if the RAM is upgradable (I believe it was soldered on the previous model). Also be aware that for $50 more, you can buy the new Touchscreen model: ($299)
Angry Birds, Cut the Rope, Bejeweled, etc. As far as memory usage, I haven't found a clear answer other than, in general, streaming video + games + multiple tabs runs smooth on 4GB. Is it worth the extra $50 for double the RAM? If it's soldered and you use any of that stuff, I'd say yes (because you can never upgrade if it's soldered like the last model was). If it's just a basic Internet surfer, 2GB is probably more than fine. I would really like a 4GB Touchscreen model, but I don't think I'm willing to pay $350 for that...(doesn't exist anyway, but I'd imagine it'd be a $50 upgrade like the non-touch model)
