Acer Aspire 5742G water damage

I have an Acer 5742G with a tiny bit of water damage on the motherboard. Everything else is OK, but cheapest mobo is $119. I hate wasting things so was wondering if there was anyway to salvage working CPU, RAM, HDD, screen ETC or is it just landfill material? Was thinking maybe a mini itx with socket 989? for a desktop??? Or retrofitting another Acer laptop mobo into the laptop??? Thanks for your time and consideration

Is yours the model with the i5 and Nvidia graphics? If you can confirm other parts weren't damaged by the water, I think that it would definitely be woth the $119 to get it working again.
