hi,
i have a laptop aspire acer 5732z which won't boot .it makes a beeping sound more like an alarm or timer[tick tock]
something like this for 10 to 15 times and then immediately goes to bios screen.i can navigate within the bios screen and make changes but if i reboot the same problem arise and this continues.

The only way i found to be able to bypass this is to repeatedly press the F8 key[label :sound/volume] key during the boot process and then windows 7 will load and functions normally.from there everything is ok but if i restart the same problem occurs.

here are some specs about the laptop:
windows 7 64 bit home
2gb memory ddr 2

here is the weird beep tone in .3ga

Is this a recent event? When you get into windows, can you go to a previous restore point and see if it works? Usually F8 gives you option to boot into safe mode etc. Do you get this option or does it go straight to Windows?

the first time i got this problem was like 8 months ago. i thought the mbr got corrupt. so i would just reinstall and everything was ok.
cannot roll back to previous restore point and pressing F8 only allows me to bypass this beep and get into windows
