Hi everyone! I am interested in bying one of the mentioned notebooks. They have exactly the same price in my country so I want to bye the best value for my money. Here are my questions:
1) Is the Athlon64 3000+ of the 1511 much hotter than the Pentium IV 2.8 of the 1621? This is my first notebook so I don't know if it is normal for a notebook to have a hot keyboard. Is it too bothering for someone working say 5-6 hours non-stop? I visited some stores and touched several notebooks. The Aspire 1356lmi (Athlon XP 2800+) was also quite hot. Should I expect the same for Athlon64? Will there be a noticable difference between the two notebooks I've chosen? If not will one of the two be louder due to the bigger fan? I want to run heavy simulation programs with my notebook so I can't afford a celeron or centrino (perhaps the latter above 2.0 GHz would be equivalent in floating point to an Athlon?) Are the Athlons still the best in pure floating point instructions, because this is what I need.
2) Does anyone know which of the three processors the 1511 carries? Athlon64, Athlon64 for notebooks or Mobile Athlon64?
3) Finally, is there a bigger than 5% difference between the benchmarks of Radeon 9700 (1621) vs the Geforce Go 5700 (1511). Will the geforce be much hotter (or louder working)?
Any feedback from an owner of one of the two notebooks would be valuable. Thank you in advance!
P.S. Does anyone know the story about aspire 1613? Very few shops worldwide still sell it however I have never seen in in any acer sites...
