Caught this one early when it was still $159.99 After Rebate. I have got a copy of the rebate form PDF saved and it stated that it was good from 11-25 through 11-28. There have been a number of changes to the listing in the last couple of hours and I hope they honor the price shown in the pic.

I think Newegg removed the rebate form, in order to edit it to reflect the exact model number of the Acer 19" LCD the rebate is valid for, because the rebate form I have saved from this morning just says Acer AL1914 Blk 19" LCD Monitor, while the new one that is now showing says the exact model # AL 1914 AB, etc. They also changed the dates to 11-24 through 11-28 in the new rebate form.

The mail in rebate is back up with free shipping... The price was at $239.99 for like 2 hours. The price went back up to $269 around 8:30 or so before i grab one.. so i was kind of late. But the deal is still good for $269

Just received mine a couple of hours ago. It arrived in a box that was in perfect condition(which I was worried about as I used UPS as the shipping carrier) and has no dead pixels. I thought my old 19" Dell D1226H CRT had a decent picture, until I sat the Acer LCD down next to it. Now the Dell looks horrible and the Acer looks incredible(bright, wonderful colors, and sharp text). The Dell will soon be retired after serving me faithfully for over 7 years.

So umm ... why did you use UPS then?

I've had so many problems with UPS not delivering a package when scheduled. The issue is that UPS requires an in-person-scribble for 90% of the packages I recieve. So when I have to take a vacation day to recieve a package and UPS doesn't deliver it that day it can really disrupt life.

FedEx on the other hand will leave packages in a bin at the side door with a signature on file.

For those of us that don't work from home this a massive help. Back when I was working for home I could deal with a UPS package being a day or two off.

Between paying $5 more for FedEx and a mail order Rusian bride to sign for packages... I choose the $5 more for FedEx. There's less to shave. Hmm, the mail order bride might also bother the girlfriend.

I had bought another Acer 17" LCD monitor back in March 2005, and it shipped out of TN (which is only a few hours from me) using FedEx and I had mistakenly assumed (whoops) that this one would do the same, and with such a short distance to go I was not as concerned at the moment of ordering about using UPS. It was after it got shipped from CA that I started to worry a little bit about it arriving by UPS in working condition, seeing as it had to go a considerably longer distance that I had initially thought it would. Also the FedEx shipping was a lot more than a $5 difference on this monitor at the time I checked out.

About the rebate:

I received a notice from Newegg on 12-29-2005 that they had received my rebate submission, and it has been sitting on "it is being processed" since. Has anyone received their rebate yet?

Anyone also notice this monitor has dissappeared from NE's site?
