I picked up the Samsung 225BW for $366. The guy who plays manager was a complete turd who at first wouldn't PM the price online (even when it didn't say "Web Only Special") and then refused to let me use a coupon, but still due to my situation I had to get a new monitor and at $366 it pretty much was the cheapest everywhere.

But yea, not a bad alternative if you are in the market for a 22" and the Acer is sold out in your area. Just be sure to order online and do a store pickup.

Warm at best now - price up to 309.99 after $40 MIR as of Sunday. I put it off all weekend and was going to pick one up today, I guess I waited too long :(

Darn it, I was looking at this last night and was gonna pick one up today too(at $299.99-$40) but this price increased kills the deal. :(

Hopefully BF has a deal somewhere that doesn't require me to stand in line overnight for. :p

anyone else having any trouble getting this monitor to do 1680x1050?

1440x900 is the max i can get it to go. or is it because im using analog input?
No problem. I'm using DVI, but CRTs use analog and they can go to much higher resolutions than that. It's probably your video card, or drivers. What video card do you have? If it's integrated, how old is it?

Yep, it was the video card. Its a built-in trident some-piece-of-junk on my work machine. I brought the monitor in to test it out, i was really excited.

I ended up getting 3 of them. I got one for a friend of mine who loves it.

As far as the monitor goes, there are no bells and whistles on this monitor. No usb, no component, nothing fancy. Just an analog and DVI plug in. The one I opened had a dead/stuck pixel (it was red all the time), but wasnt really that noticeable unless I went out of my way to look for it. Played a few games and didnt notice any ghosting issues. There is a little bit of light bleeding at the top though. Overall, it seems like a great deal.

I got two for myself sitting here unopened, but im contemplating returning them. I figured it would be cheaper/more space than gettting a single 24" as I really need them for programming/code development. It seems like this size doesn't give me enough vertical space, and I get oh so tired of scrolling through hundreds of lines of code.

Interested in selling one? If so PM me with a price, I missed the deal by a day :(
