I just replaced my Sony 4X SCSI CD-R drive with the Acer 12x8x32 ATAPI CD-RW drive. I removed the Sony, then installed the Acer. I tried to burn a data CD and it gave me an error (Nero 5.5.2.4, CDRWin 3.8D, CloneCD 3.0.2.3, EZCD Creator 4.03). The drive reads CDs fine, but I can't burn. Nero tells me "SCSI target error".
I think that my computer thinks it still has a SCSI burner. I uninstalled all the burner apps. Installed one at a time and tried each. Nothing. I put the Acer drive in another computer and it works fine.
What do I need to do to fix this? I don't wan't to reinstall Windows (Fdisk my HD).
Need help badly!!
