Ace of Spades cell game - a question

I got this Sony Ericson phone and it has a game on it called Ace od Spades. Its like video poker.
If you win a had you have a chance to double you winnings by selecting one of three cards.
The three cards are on the top of the screen and five cards are below. You pick one of the three and the game randomly selects one of the five. You win or lose.
Does anyone know what determines if you win and double your money?
Maybe I'm slow, but I can't figure it out.

You have to have a combination of a higher card than what the computer has. That'll double your money.
