New Ace Combat for the PS3 and 360. While I loved AC 4,5,0. I'm pretty sure I'm not on board with the new style the game is taking. It seems sort of on rails and QTE like events.

Also, it seems like the game is taking on a more "Grimdark" approach which is worrisome because none of the AC games are supposed to be grimdark.

I really hope this turns out better. At least I have the OST to look forward to.

I like ace combat and all, but I hate the fictional setting. This one seems to have a more western influence as well.

So i hate asking this but... what system is better to buy a game like this on? I ask because ive seen some really bad and choppy ps3 ports (blazing angels for example).

360 also has better party chat features.

I cant wait for tomorrow.

I had AC6 for the 360 it was pretty good, but I don't think it ever came out for PS3.

Looks like red box might get this, so I am going to check it out for PS3 from there to see if I want to buy it, rarely use my 360 anymore.

Ive found 3 reviews and all 3 say ace combat6 is better.
1up.com tore it a new one... basically saying they call of dutyized the game and ruined it.
Guess ill go get ac6

The camera will zoom in the upper right in what would be called an over-the-shoulder view if the player wasn't controlling an aircraft, and the plane will automatically follow the targeted enemy. This is the only way to take down some enemies in the game so you better get used to it. While it allows you to throw an awful lot of fire onto an enemy it also makes you vulnerable to enemy attacks. ASM on the other hand shifts the camera under the plane and towards the ground. The plane will follow a pre-plotted course that allows you to target ground units with ease.

This sounds like it'll get old really quick. I heard that you can continually shoot some enemies but they won't go down till you engage that mode. Did they really think we were to stupid to be able to fly the plane ourselves while shooting?

I wish companies would stop abandoning their fans for the new generation of gamers who can only see pretty zoom in ADHD pleasing graphics. Too bad it'll never happen as this will probably be the best selling Ace Combat game ever.

Ye. If you tried the demo, it was TERRIBLE. It was NOTHING what AC is about

i want a jet game to feel like im controlling the jet. i dont want it to feel like call of duty shooting game. i want it to feel like im controlling the jet just like im controlling a vehcle in gta 4. anyone know any jet game like that?

I had the flight sticks with ace 6 and the xbox and it was great then, if ace combat is shying away from the flight sticks then yeah...
