Ack, I've accidentally severed two traces that are on the BOTTOM of the Asus K7M, they go from the Slot to the Northbridge. What do they do? My comp appears to run without any errors, it's been going for a few hours.

I did that on my p3v4x mobo. I accidently souch some traces while installing a slot fan. I just soldered the trace with very thin wire.

You're lucky that you're running. I did the same thing the other night on my MSI Pro2-A when installing a heatsink. Can't even get into BIOS. I bought a new board that I will be much more careful with. I still may attempt to fix the borken one with a conductive pen. Good luck :)

try some "wrapping wire" from radio shack with a 15 wat soldering iron, may need to file down the soldering tip. Heard of people putting these wires on playstation's with some kind of chip."wink" You can use super glue to fasten the wire to the board so you dont have any movement in the wire. conductive glue sounds good too. These wires are the smallest ive seen with thin insulation.
