I was defrosting them so I could make some Japanese Sake chicken wings and marinate them overnight. I completely forgot about them and left them in a large pot just sitting on the stove. I know it sounds stupid but, is there any chance they could still be okay?

I'm just hoping becuase it was a lot of chicken. :(

This sounds like an empirical question. Cook the wings and let us know what happens. :D

You'd probably be ok. Unless it's fed to someone very young, weak, or old, it should be alright.

I'd eat it :D

How warm was the kitchen?

My understanding is that 4 hours is the longest you want to leave food out unless it's thawing.

You arent supposed to defrost meat in warm water... always in cold.
