Accessing Raw Data

I burned some data to a CD. However I did not format the CD first. When I put this CD in the device that burned it I could see it and access it. When I put it in any other device it was unreadable. Windows Explorer listed the CD as containing 0KB out of 0KB. The device I used to burn this disk is old and inconvenient. Is there any software I can use to access this data?

Install the same software on the newer machine that you have on the older.

EDIT: Specifically the same software you used to burn the cds. Some people just drag the files onto the cd or something (packet writing?) instead of properly burning the cd and that's a PITA.
