Accessing mac network shares from a pc

My roomate has a mac and i have a pc. i am trying to access files stored on his second drive. when i connect to his copmuter it only takes me to his folder. i know with windows you can just put in the \\computername\driveletter.

is there anyway to do this on a mac running 10.3. neither of us can figure this out and it is really annoying.

Are they in the root of his second drive? I don't have a second drive in my Macs so I'm not sure. 😕 He should be able to name the share something, so try something like \\mac\share_name.

HTH.
