Welcome to the Network Forum

Link to: Connecting through the Internet to a private Network.

There are few ways to connect remotly.

VNC (Free and Simple)

Link to: Ultr@VNC (Remote Control for your Network/Interent) - Installation, and Settings

Remote Desktop (Free and less simple).

VPN (Office side migh need special hardware).

If you know how to set WinXP VPN to WinXP VPN, and your Router is VPN through (I.E. it allows VPN to pass), than you can set it and you do not need any thing else.

Option 1. Connect from home to VPN Server in the office.

Option 2. Connecting between two WinXP, and configuring one as a VPN Server.
