Accessing computer on domain

I'm on a domain at work. I just added a laptop (Windows 2000) to the domain using the same configuration as all other computers on the network, and it works fine. I can access all server resources, and I can ping all other computers on the network. However, I am unable to browse to another computer to access its hard drive. If I go to My Network Places, view Entire Network, then Microsoft Windows Network, I see the domain "XXX". If I click on "XXX", I get an error message "XXX is not accessible. The list of servers for this workgroup is not currently available."

I have no problem accessing the network computers from any other computer on the domain using the same procedure. And, as I said, the laptop is configured identically to those computers, both on the domain controller and in the local settings.

Any ideas why I can't access the network drives?
