Accessing BIOS On Laptop

How you guys doin. I had a quick question that may have been already asked. When tryin to access the BIOS on this specific laptop, I'm never given an option to press for example, the F8 key to access it. I would like to change the boot order so that the CD boots first, but I cannot access the BIOS. I would appreciate any feedback on this. Thanks...peace.

Your best bet would be to check with the manufacturer of the laptop to see how to access the BIOS. Not sure about laptops, but most ATX motherboards use the Delete key during boot to access the BIOS. Some makers have funky combos( ALT-Shift-ESC blah

). If Delete doesn't work try looking at the maker's website and dig around for it.

Good luck.

Sorry, I got the boot order thing workin, but I'm still wonderin how I can reformat this laptop cuz it doesn't have a floppy drive. I was able to boot up wit the XP CD but I'm only able to either Install XP, Repair it, or just quit set up. Is there any way to do it. I have an SD memory slot and stick which I can turn into a 98 Boot Disk to use for the setup, but there's no way to boot wit the SD Memory drive. Is there any other way to do it? I only have one CD drive btw. I would appreciate any help. Thanks

To format the laptop, you would choose the option to "install windows". It will then take you to the formatting/partitioning section where you can wipe the drive
