My friend just set me up an OS X account on his Mac to allow me access to his files when we're both online. Trouble is, I can't login despite using the correct user name and password. I am accessing this account via ftp and I indicated that in the address bar. Is there some inherent WinXP incompatibility with OSX, or am I doing something wrong?
While I'm on the subject, that very same user is unable to share files with me through ICQ file sending. every time he tries to send me a file, it tells him I'm offline. I am using a router but I've configured all my firewall setting appropriately (according to linksys tech-help). I know this isn't that much information to go on, but any suggestions would be really appreciated.
