access to my computer over the internet

Hello,

I'm new at this so it might be a stupid question.
I have sharing enabled on my windows 98 machine (those 2 ck marks) How do I access my files etc. over the internet? from a windows 9x or NT computer
Yes I have static IP allways on - no firewall
No its not the IP address I am coming from right now!
Thanks for any explaination.

Well if nothing is blocking it, then you might be able to type \\ip address in a run box and it should browse that computer. If you want something more secure try pcanywhere by symantec.

Just a warning though: If you can browse your own PC over the internet so can everybody else! You should really go with a more secure solution...
