Question Access denied to Hard Drive, need syntax help

Another half-baked Windows firmware update has caused me days of pain. I hate Microsoft!!!
Did a number of Google searches to find a fix, this one holds the most promise. It involves using the Command Prompt.
His instructions has this line:
  • takeown /f “path_to_folder” /r /d y
My problem is that I use Command Prompt so infrequent I can't figure out the correct syntax for “path_to_folder”
Please help, want to restore the E: HDD
