Access 2002 questions for workgroup database

What is the best way to go about setting up a workgrouped database using Access 2002? We have about 10 users that will need to access it and also will we need to purchase the license for each workstation, or is there another way to go about workgrouping the database?

are you asking how should you set up the system as in the technical details or about licensing? many of licensing for applications count a user/program in use at one time. Like a 5 user license can be installed on 10 different computers, but only 5 can be used at one time. Database/server software OTOH, I've noticed usually charge per seat/machine. So even if only 1 is in use at the time, the other 9 machines it's installed on will be charged. I'm not sure if M$ Access works that way though. Most of the DB programs I have experience with in this case are very expensive ($10,000 per machine in use). Access is a part of Office so I don't know how it's treated with regard ti sharing/serving. You should check with microsoft's licensing programs to see what's good for you and what the stipulations of usage are. They have alot of different programs but I would think you will most likely be using some sort of small open license.

As for technical details, you havent even stated if you have a server, which I assume you would for a database with at least 10 users. Here is some starter info about Access database serving.
