I was reading a review earlier on a motherboard, and I got to the Stability blurb...
<< Stability >>
<< I tested the board with 10 loops of 3D Mark 2000, 10 loops of Business Winstone2001 while having FOLDING@HOME running at the background. The machine passed the test successfully. I also used the board as a daily machine to write the review, play a few games, surf the net and things like that. I noticed occasional crashes and lockups. Thus I would rate this board just below the KR7A. >>
Have we gotten to the point that we have to accept the occasional daily or hourly lockup as 'Normal'... Is running 3DMark2000 or even 2001 for 10 loops, and Winstone2001 for 10 loops a way to judge stability? Jees I require of my systems to run for hours, not based on the number of loops it can run....
Wow calling the motherboard stable based on that criteria is sad...
Spook
