You finish ROTC curriculum it's 100% admission even with a extremly poor enlisted service record.. I have a couple marine buddies who did just that. Otherwise it's extremely competitive w/o a real degree as mentioned. Just think how many english/biology and several hundred other majors unemployed there are with 3.5s and above. If you have the right attitude and really want to be an officer there is no stopping you though assuming you're not a deviant, druggie or criminal.
 
Has the world really come to the point where people can't even ask questions in a single complete sentence?
