Acceptable 7800GT temps?

Looking for some feedback, what is a good temp before it starts to have stability problems? I got the clocks at 490/1200. Thanks.
edit: It's getting rather hot in this area, the room's temperature will typically hover around 78 degrees F.

Its a little on the warm side, but you said your ambient temps were warm too. My 6800GT used to get hotter than 71C very often under load, over 80C a lot.

Are the 490/1200 clocks the stock settings? I wouldn't worry too much unless you start seeing artifacts.

2x 7800 gtx's...44C idle, 73C load max in Oblivion and Fear...I see no problems with your temps. When you start getting around 85-90C, then you should be concerned, but I doubt that would happen.

No, stock are 470/1000. When would you expect to see artifacting? above 80 C?

I am running 450/1100 and idle is 43-44 C and full load (RTIDRIBL @4xAA for 25 min or Oblivion, 1280x1024, 2xAA for 30-40 min) gives about 60 C max. usually 58-59. I cannot O/C much higher because ambient room temps are about 26-30 C. On the stock cooler, it used to give 48-49 idle and 67-68 load under the same conditions.
