Accelerated audio on dell dimension?

I just got a new dell at work, its a dimension 8200, p4 1.8, 512 megs of rdram. It has onboard ac97 audio.

I hooked some headphones up and tried to listen to a few things and it the sound is coming out way faster than it is supposed to, normal music sounds like alvin and the chipmunks, any ideas?

Go to the delltalk forums and ask that question, I've seen it before but I've never read the answers since it didn't apply to me.

Or you can do a search on Dell for support documents like this fast audio on Win 2000 document.
